Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis cycle (PGD cycle) is a complete process to detect any genetic abnormalities in the embryos obtained from in vitro fertilisation before they are implanted in the uterus, in order to avoid possible diseases or chromosomal alterations. It consists of several stages: ovarian stimulation, embryo development, cell biopsy, genetic analysis and embryo transfer.
