A protocol in which two ovarian stimulations and two oocyte collections are performed during a single ovarian cycle.  One stimulation is performed in the follicular phase and the other in the luteal phase in order to obtain more oocytes for later fertilisation in the laboratory. It is also known as double stimulation.
