freezing
 An assisted reproduction technique consisting of the freezing and storage of gametes or embryos at very low temperatures for later use. It is also known more formally and scientifically as cryopreservation, and less commonly as cryoconservation. Vitrification is a method of cryopreservation, not a strict synonym.
