embryo transfer
The final and critical phase of the in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedure, consisting of the ultrasound-guided deposition of one or more embryos into the uterine cavity through the cervical canal using a flexible transfer catheter. It is generally an outpatient, painless procedure that does not require anesthetic sedation. It is also known as embryo transfer technology.
