radical cervicectomy
Surgical removal of the cervix, surrounding tissue and the upper part of the vagina, sometimes including removal of lymph nodes in the pelvis. Once the cervix has been removed, the uterus is reattached to the remaining part of the vagina. This technique is recommended for women with womb cancer.
