WOI
The window of implantation (WOI) is the period when the womb lining is ready to receive the embryo. This usually corresponds to days 19-21 of the menstrual cycle if the woman has a regular cycle. However, the implantation window can be temporarily shifted, which can lead to embryo implantation failure.

While transcriptomic studies vary in their findings, they unanimously acknowledged the presence of specific transcriptomic profiles throughout the menstrual cycle, mainly in the WOI (Wang & Yu, 2018).
