hyperstimulation
Excessive ovarian response to hormonal stimulation, especially in the context of fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF) or ovulation induction.  It is characterized by the development of a higher number of follicles than expected after the administration of ovarian stimulation drugs. This excessive response may alter normal ovarian function and is associated with an increased number of developing follicles and rising hormone levels during treatment.
