The preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), previously known as preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), is a genetic analysis performed on embryos during in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. The objective of this analysis is to rule out embryos with alterations in their DNA to transfer only those with a favorable result. In this way, the probability of pregnancy and having a healthy baby is increased.
