Surgical procedure to remove one or both of the uterine adnexa, i.e. the structures that surround or are connected to the ovaries and fallopian tubes. This surgery may be performed for a variety of reasons, including the treatment for medical conditions such as ovarian cysts, endometriosis, cancer or other gynaecological conditions.
