endometrial polyp
A cellular formation that occurs when an area of the basal layer of the endometrium, which is not changed by the hormones of the menstrual cycle and is not shed with each menstrual period, proliferates. Most endometrial polyps are not cancerous and cause no discomfort, but they can become cancerous or pre-cancerous.
