A sperm preparation test or laboratory procedure used to recover and select the most motile sperm cells after in vitro processing. It is accompanied by in vitro capacitation and may be performed through sperm selection methods such as swim-up. Its purpose is to obtain the best motile sperm for use in assisted reproduction.
