asthenospermia
A sperm abnormality characterised by a decrease in sperm motility within the ejaculate. It is diagnosed via a semen analysis when the percentage of spermatozoa with progressive motility (i.e. those capable of moving forward) is less than 32%. This condition is a common cause of male infertility.
