sperm concentration
The number of spermatozoa present per millilitre of semen in a semen analysis, also known as a seminogram. It is used to evaluate male fertility. According to the WHO 6th edition reference limits, the lower reference value for sperm concentration is 16 million spermatozoa per millilitre, and the lower reference value for total sperm number is 39 million spermatozoa per ejaculate.
