testicular atrophy
An atrophy characterised by a reduction in the size of one or both testicles due to the loss of functional cells. This decrease impairs both sperm production (exocrine function) and testosterone secretion (endocrine function), typically leading to infertility, sexual dysfunction, and loss of secondary sexual characteristics. It is also known as testicular shrinkage and testicular hypotrophy.
