septate uterus
A congenital uterine anomaly resulting from a failure of septal resorption due to fusion of the Müllerian ducts and characterised by the presence of a septum or septum crossing the uterine cavity from the fundus to the internal cervical os. It is the most common uterine malformation with a prevalence of 55%.
